A popular bookstore in Hefei, Anhui province, has become the world's first shared bookstore, in a move meant to encourage more reading among Chinese citizens.
安徽省合肥市一家很受欢迎的书店，已经成为了全球第一家共享书店，此举意在鼓励国人更多的阅读。The Sanxiaokou Xinhua Bookstore, one of the most renowned Xinhua bookstores of the Anhui Xinhua Distribution Group, first rose to fame in 2014.
合肥三孝口新华书店是安徽新华发行集团旗下最有名气的书店之一，早在2014年便已声名鹊起。Now it is back in the spotlight, as more than 200,000 visitors flooded the store on its first day as a shared bookstore, a record high since its opening in 2013.
现在它重新引起了公众的注意，在成为共享书店的一天，共计有超过20万名读者涌入该店，这一数字创下了自2013年开业以来的最高纪录。

Customers are allowed to borrow up to two books valued under 150 yuan per visit after registering with an app and paying the 99 yuan deposit fee.

合伙经营这家书店的许新伟向《澎湃新闻》透露：“我们希望能降低阅读成本，这样人们就可以读更多的书。”
