中式英语之鉴:被风吹病了

313. 伍德斯先生担心他的客人被风吹病了。

[误] Mr. Woodhouse was afraid that his guests might be blown sick by the wind.

[正] Mr. Woodhouse was afraid that his guests might fall ill because of exposure to the wind.

注：sick 是自己感到不舒服，所以“被风吹病”一说会令英国人觉得很荒谬。
